Noticed how ...That was one of the tent bat species! Noticed how the leaf that it was sleeping under hangs down instead of fanning out to the side? Tent bats are known to chew the stems in the leaves (of palm trees, especially) so that it hangs down. This makes them harder to reach by predators such as snakes.
